We offer for sale this fine and unusual saber / sword of the Ngombe people from Zaire. This type of saber/scimitar are single edge at the lower part and double edge at the upper part of the blade. The upper part of the blade is supposedly representing the head of a crocodile. Blade length 20 ½ inches. Total length 27 ½. The handle is carved from a solid piece of elephant ivory in the shape of a woman head. A very good piece of tribal African art. Very good condition. Original black patina on the blade.
