Very Good Moro Keris with Laminated Blade - 6555

This is a very good and old Moro Kris, probably early 19 century. The wavy blade is 19 inches long, beautifully constructed from a laminated core, welded between high carbon steel edges and well treated and heat hardened. Deadly sharp. The grip is bound with fiber and the kakatua shaped pommel is ivory. A white metal clamp secures the blade to the handle. Total length 23 ½ inches. Good condition. Light scratches and minor battle scars on the blade edges. Old brazing of the tang to the blade. The fiber cover of the grip is recent. Excellent sword and one of quality.
