Penai, Sword of the Toraja, Sulwezi - 7051


This form of sword is called Penai and used by the Toraja people from Sulawezi. It is characterized by the peculiar shape hilt and beautifully carved scabbard. The Pamor blade is 18 ½ inches long. He hilt is carved from water Buffalo horn and the scabbard is wood with horn tip. Total length 28 inches. Very good condition.
