A real, authentic Jambiya dagger from Yemen, with its original belt. The blade is 8 ½ inches long, curved and double edge. The grip is horn set with brass imitation coins and steel nails decorative design. The scabbard is wood, covered with black velvet fabric and mounted with very big pierced silver chape. Total length (in scabbard) 13 inches. This dagger comes with its original belt, 36 inches long, braided with colored threads and steel buckle. Good condition. There are mior pitted spots on the blade (not deep). The belt edges are lightly age worn and the belt binding to the scabbard is later, probably to replace a worn binding. All together a very good piece from the early 20 C. The real thing! NOT a tourist trap like so many being offered on the market.
