Fine and Very Large Karud Dagger - 14682

The biggest Karud ever. This massive 32 inches long fine ‘KARUD’ sword is coming from North India or Afghanistan. Mid 19 C. A very well forged pattern welded blade 25 inches long 2 1/2 inches wide with acute point pronounced T spine and reinforced edges. The handle and grips are steel finely inlaid with silver Koftgari decoration. The pommel cover can be opened to expose the inner hollow space of the handle. Very good condition. Very minor losses to the silver work. To emphasize the size, this sword is shown below next to a 18 inches long more common Karud dagger.
