A fine Kard knife, India, 18 C. Heavy blade with swollen tip, forged from dark pattern watered (wootz, Damascus) steel. Original and etch with polished edges and tip. Solid walrus grip of dark age color, steel bolsters decorated with gold koftgari work. Velvet covered scabbard with gilded copper mounts finely engraved in floral pattern. Blade 12 inches, total 18 inches long. Very good condition. Old cut in the grip but it holds very solid.
