This Jambiya dagger is most probably of Iraqi origin, late 19 – early 20C. Very well made blade 10 inches long forged from good high contrast wootz (Damascus, Watered) steel. Finely decorated whole silver handle and lavishly chased silver scabbard. Total length 19 inches (compared to the 14 – 15 inches of the more common ones). Very good condition. Pitted spots on the blade. A very impressive dagger.
