Fine Tegha / Tulwar Execution Sword - India - 14583


The name Tegha is usually referred to this type of swords, with heavy deeply curved wide blade, and are supposedly used as execution swords. This is a fine example, with a very heavy 33 inches long blade, more than 2 ½ inches wide and with an 12 inches false edge. The blade is signed and marked on both faces. The handle is steel, in the shape of a classical Tulwar hilt, very finely executed and decorated with gold and silver inlay decoration, Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
