Unusually long SEME, Sword of the Massai, Africa - 14517

Up for sale is this unusually long Seme, the classical sword of the Massai people of East Africa. Late 19C. 29 inches long, well forged blade widening toward the tip to a spear point shape. Hide covered handle and scabbard. Total length 39 inches (compared to 26 inches in the common ones). Very good condition. Scabbard a bit shorter though looks original. This is the real authentic Massai fighting sword, not one of the many traps sold to the tourist visiting Kenya and the neighboring countries.
