A rare and fine Indian helmet, probably late 18 C. The wootz steel dome is 8 inches in diameter, 4 1/2 inches tall ending with a rosette and a 3 inch spike. The base is all inlaid with very nice gold koftgari work of floral design. Two feather holders. Beautiful two colors steel and brass rings creating chevron pattern to the mail. The nazal protector is misting. few rings are missing. Few old flaws.
