The ‘Pulwar’ is the Afghan relative of the Indian Tulwar. Both may have similar blades but the Pulwar hilt is of very distinct shape, with down curving quillons. This one has a heavy well forged fullered blade, ¼ inch thick and 29 inches long, with a 9 1/2 inches false edge. The hilt is of classical shape with faceted grip and ribbed pommel. Total length 34 inches. Very good condition. This Pulwar comes with wood scabbard (newly made), Not shown.
