Up for sale is this heavy and thick hand shield / Buckler, made of Rhino hide (?). 10 ¼ inches in diameter 6 mm thick with four brass bosses. Very good condition. Minor distortion due to age shrink. Handle straps are missing. First half of the 20C. North India or Rajasthan. The hide is translucent under strong light what suggest that it is made from Rhinoceros hide.
