Very Fine Sindh Enameled Matchlock Rifle - 14455


Up for Sale this beautiful and rare matchlock gun from Sindh. Sindh is located between Indian in the east Baluchistan in the west and Pakistan in the north. In the 18 and 19c it was ruled by the Talpur family that were known for their love for art and had a center for producing fine arms. This gun is late 18 - early 19C. Dark hard wood stock mounted with silver enameled mounts in blue and green colors. The 38 inches barrel is of fine quality twisted steel inlaid with gold. Total length 58 inches. Very good condition. Primer powder pan missing.
