Up for sale is this very very fine Qajar style Persian shield from the 1850’s. 19 ½ inches in diameter, whole steel, in elaborate pierced design and brass nails, with a central face and Arabian calligraphy on the perimeter. All inlaid in gold and silver koftgary decoration. Very good condition, internal side fabric is age worn.
