A variant of the classical Moroccan ‘Koumaya’ curved dagger is the ‘Genoui’ with straight blade. The name literally means from Genoa, probably to indicate its ancient source. The straight blade is cut from an old sword and fitted with a wood grip and silver mounts. Whole silver scabbard, finely chiseled and decorated with spiral gold strip and gold panels. Blade 10 inches, total 17 inches. very good condition.
