The Toma people, (also known as Loma and/or Buzi) are a subgroup of the large Mande group of west Africa. The Toma resides mostly in Sierra Leone. The axe shown here is a very good example. Square small blade with long tang and engraved brass bolster. Finely turned blackwood handle. Length 14 1/2 inches. Very good condition. |
