This fine dagger is most probably from West Africa, early 20C. Clear influence of Tuareg daggers from the region but this one is of finer quality and workmanship. Double edge blade with a central fuller, finely inlaid with brass strips pattern. Black wood and engraved brass grips bolsters and cross guard riveted to the blade tang with copper rivets. Ball shaped pommel. Blade length 7 inches, Total 12 inches, Very good condition.
