This Yemenite Jambiya dagger is also known as Thouma and it is carried mostly by high ranking peoples in the Yemenite society. The blade is wide, double edged with a pronounced central rib 8 inches long. The handle is carved from rhino horn set with imitation brass coins. The scabbard is silver finely pierced and partialy gilded and decorated with dark green enamel decoration. This Jambiya comes with its original embroidered belt. Total length of belt 34 inches. Very good condition. Rare and authentic Jambiya from the early 20 C.
