We offer for sale this saber / sword of the Ngombe people from Zaire. This type of saber/scimitar are single edge at the lower part and double edge at the upper part of the blade. The upper part of the blade is supposedly representing the head of a crocodile. Blade length 22 inches decorated with dot punching and geometrical engraving and a copper "eye". Wood handle bound with copper strip. Total length 25 ½. Very good condition. Heavily patinated blade.
