Kindjals made in Kubachi, Dagestan are famous for their very decorative values and especially known for the rich gold and silver inlay work. Here is a rare and unusual example: Finely forged blade, 13 1/2 inches long very finely etched at the forte. Steel grip and scabbard very finely etched all over with a wavy pattern, added with silver plaques of human figures, warriors and animals. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. Minor patches of pitting on the blade. A very fine item.
