This rare item is actuall a bayonet for Indian matchlock guns also known as Sangin. 18 C, central or south India. , and it is actually a Bayonet, used in India in the 19 C. It was mounted on the Musket barrel. 7 1.2 inches blade decorated with engraving and ending with a slightly thickened tip. Total length 11 ½ inches. Good condition to age. Well patinated.
