A very good example of the Bedouin side dagger locally known as Shibriya. All men carry it and it is very popular between the Bedouin tribes residing in Israel and in Jordan. The blade is 6 1/2 inches, re-curving and double edged with an acute tip, engraved with a maker mark and dated 1955. The grip as well as the scabbard are covered with chased white metal set with colored stones (Glass ?). Iron sheet back. Total length 12 ½ inches. Very good condition.
