The Ache people of Central Sumatra are carrying this round hand hand shield (or Buckler) made of wood which is also locally known as .Peurise Kajee. It is 13 ½ inches in diameter, made of light wood and decorated with 7 brass stars. This is an authentic, very early 20 C. piece in very good condition. The rear handle is missing and replaced with modern rope.
