We offer for sale this early Kris Dagger, probably Moro but we are not sure. Size and shape indicate an early style, late 18 or early 19 C. The straight heavy blade is 22 inches long, probably laminated. The Ganja is smaller than in later Krises from the area and remind the Ganja of Indonesian Kerises. The grip is wood bound with leather and partially covered with brass wire. The scabbard is dark wood, also on the general shape of an Indonesian Keris. Fair condition. Some blackening and pitted areas on one side of the blade. Minor damages from battle scars on edges. The grip covering is later. The metal clamp is missing. The scabbard was partially burnt and have gone through later repairs, so the blade does not go all the way into the scabbard. Very low price.
