Double Blade Bichwa (Scorpion) Dagger, India - 13538

This dagger is a Double Blade Bichwa, a scarce weapon in the Indian arsenal, meaning: ‘The Scorpion Sting’. It is probably 19 Century. The blades are double edged, re-curving, 10 inches long, with a flat diamond cross section. The hilt is brass, ring shaped, riveted to the top of the blades and pierced along the edges. Total length 14 1/2 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. |
