Very Good Persian Quadara Sword - 13535

This sword is of Persian origin and it is also known as Quadara. A similar sword is found in central Asian countries and in the Caucasus. This specimen has a 24 inches long, massive single edge blades with a 7 inches false edge. The blade is fullered and marked with a deep maker mark and decorated with gold koftgari work. The grips are black Buffalo horn mounted with three rivets over old Persian silver coins. Original scabbard, covered with dark leather with chased brass mounts. Original leather belt. Very good condition. Minor losses to the gold work on the blade. Old repair on the grips. |
