This very fine Arab Jambiya Dagger is known as Mecca style characterized by the silver scabbard and uprising scabbard tip. It is not necessarily from Mecca and can be found in many regions around and as far as Hadramouth in South Yemen. Early to mid 20 C. The blade is of fine quality, Big size, 9 inches long with two central fullers. The grip is silver finely engraved and set with filigree panels. The scabbard is a piece of arts on its own in heavy pierced engraved and filigree silver. Very fine condition. An outstanding piece for the serious collector of Arabic weapons.
