Up for sale is this quite scarce mace, probably early 19 C. from Bukhara, Uzbekistan. This type of maces served as a symbol of rank and a reminder of power a of its owner as. The head is oval shaped, 3 ½ inches tall and 2 inch in diameter. It is carved from a yellow brown stone. The haft is wood 18 inches long, covered with faded green fabric and mounted with long chased silver mounts. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. The green fabric is lightly worn. Minor dents on the silver parts. A rare authentic item.
