This is a beautiful late 18 or early 19 C. Khanda Sword and one of quality. The straight heavy blade forged from Indian wootz steel (Crystalline Damascus) is 29 1/2 inches long, double edge and reinforced on both edges with long decorative steel bars. The handle is basket shaped, whole steel construction with a three inches long back spike. The grip and inner basket side are padded with leather and fabric (later). Total length 39 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard.
