This Parang sword is late 19C. probably from Java. Its heavy blade is 20 inches long very well forged with a ridged spine and unusual pamor structure. Black horn handle with finely carved and gold painted pommel. Wood scabbard with horn mounts and braided rattan binding. Finely carved belt loop. Scabbard mouth set with clear stones. Total length 27 inches. Very good condition.
