Mid 19C. Helmet of the Khadive Army. Egypt - 13437

This type of helmet was used by the military forces of the Khadive regime in Egypt. A mix of European style and earlier ottoman style Turban shaped helmet. Copper / brass construction with the nose guard in the form of a downward pointing arrow, back neck guard and chin flaps decorated with five pointed stars. Brass rings mail.
