Probably of Visayan origin from the Philippines, this very good sword has a heavy, 17 1/2 inches beveled blade with down curving sharpened spine tip. Finely carved wood handle with monstrous face pommel with a silver beak and eyes. Brass collar. Wood scabbard bound with brass bands (Loose) and leather sleeve at the top. Total length 24 inches. Very good condition. Probably late 19 C authentic item.
