The Parang Latok is a rare Sword / Machete from Kalimantan (Borneo). It is characterized by the heavy wedge blade widening toward the tip and the hilt abruptly bent upward, allowing two hands grip of the sword. This exemplar although looks simple is of very good quality and authentic. Massive blade 21 inches long, 12 mm thick near the hilt. Bone hilt with a brass collar and rattan binding. Total length 26 inches. Very good condition.
