The Shi people residing in east Zaire, near the Tanzania border. Carries this typical unique sword with straight, double edge blade, with pronounced central rib. This one is a very good exemplar. Slender blade 22 inches long. Hardwood handle and scabbard densely bound with twisted brass and copper wires. Total length 30 inches. Very good condition. Mid 20C.
