This Unusual dagger comes most probably from Nigeria, late 19C. massive well forged short blade 6 inches long. Heavy cast brass handle with a short cross guard and a mushroom style pommel, decorated in geometrical patterns. Total length 12 inches. Very good condition. Nicely patinated blade and handle. This dagger comes from an earlier collection and marked with the collection catalog number. Unusual in shape and workmanship quality. May be a cutting tool and not a weapon.
