This style of yataghan with wide T shaped pommel ears are believed to come from central Turkey. This one has a blade of 27 inches long, engraved with Arabic mark and a date 1295 (1878 In the Gregorian Calendar). White matel handle and bolsteres with 5 inches chased wide pommel. white metal chased mounts on wood scabbard with green faded velvet cover. Total length 35 inches. Very good condition. Rare shape.
