This spear shaped steel blade is coming from Sudan, late 19 C. It is most probably a ceremonial spear or a battle standard. 7 ½ inches long 5 ½ inches wide blade, entirely covered with etched imitation of inscription in Arabic letters. Bone grip carved with Arabic inscription on one side and floral design on the other side. Black horn pommel cover. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition.
