Ceremonial Dagger of the Vere people from Nigeria - 13213


This ceremonial dagger is made by the people residing in Nigeria - Cameroon borders. The Vere people are masters in brass casting and uses it to produce hilts and daggers scabbards imitating the wood and leather work of similar items. Here we offer such a ceremonial dagger, with an 8 inches blade (crudely forged), with a cast brass handle and scabbard (Considerably longer than the blade). Total length 23 ½ inches.
