This very good Tulwar sword has a heavy 31 inches blade, forged from very good Indian Wootz (Crystalline Damascus) steel. The blade is welded from two parts in the style known as Scarf Welding, a technique common to good Indian blades. Classical silver inlaid steel handle. Total length 35 1/2 inches. Original polish and etching. Very good condition. No scabbard. 19c.
