Up for sale is this large size and good fighting sword, most probably of the Saka people residing in Central Zaire. Very well forged blade, 18 ½ inches long, 7 inches wide, finely fullered and engraved. Wood handle entirely bound with copper, with a heavy copper counter weight pommel. Early 20C. Very good condition. Very good original patina on the blade. Minor losses to the copper cover of the grip. Wide and impressive sword.
