This machete like short heavy knife is a Bendo from Java, Indonesia. Early 20 C. The heavy marked blade is 10 ½ inches long slightly up curving. Black painted carved hardwood handle. Wood scabbard bound with brass bands and mouth and tip with horn and bone alternating layers . Total length 20 ½ inches. Very good condition.
