This saber / sword with a Yataghan style handle is Ottoman, early – mid 19C. , may be from the western regions of the Ottoman empire. Deeply up curving 26 inches blade, nicely fullered, widening toward the tip and with a raised 11 inches back edge. The blade is marked with a maker mark and stamped with an “eyelashes” style stamp and other marks in the fullers. Ivory grips with silver grip strap and bolsters. Total length 30 inches. Very good condition. Minor chip on the pommel of the right grip. No scabbard.
