We offer for sale this fine Arab Jambiya dagger from Oman, in the royal style known as Saidi . It has a well forged, 8 inches long, curved and dual edge blade with a central rib. The hilt is silver in the classical “I” shaped, decorated with many small silver filigree pieces. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with fabric. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of 7 silver rings and twisted silver wire. All scabbard and hilt fittings are silver chased in a typical design. The tip of the lower mount, central pluqe of upper mount, two rosettes of the handle and tips of the pommel are gold. This dagger comes with its original brocade belt. Very good condition. Lightly damages fabric at the back side of the dagger. total length 12 1/2 inches. Complete and impressive item.
