Up for sale is a rare shaped Yataghan sword with single edged blade 18 inches long, engraved on both sides with scrolls and a vase with flowers. nice ivory grips with good age patina, and two dark horn slabs.Very fine heavy deeply chased silver scabbard. Total 26 inches. This Yataghan is from the 19C probably from the Western regions of the Ottoman empire. Minor chip on the grips. minor dark spots on the blade. Very fine example for this type.
