The Ula or Ulu is a throwing club from the Fiji Islands. It is carved from the root stem of a local bush, and it is extremely hard. The head is of ball shape 4 x 5 inches and the handle is 11 inches long with nice thread binding at the tip. Total length 15 inches. Good condition. Age crack on the head where the ball join the handle. An early 20th C. vintage item.
