Very Fine Persian Pesh Kabz Dagger - 13039

The Pesh Kabz, a development of the straight blade Karud, has a re-curving blade and slightly down curving handle. With its good solid grip, perfect balance in the hand and its blade curvature naturally extending the hand moving forward, makes the best armor piercing dagger ever to be developed. It is therefore that it was adopted by warriors of a vast area, from Central Asia through Persia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. The fine specimen shown here is Persian. It has a top quality wootz blade 11 ½ inches long, elaborately chiseled, and walrus grips. Total length 16 inches. A very fine item of quality. 18C.
