A very good and old Kaskara sword from Sudan Area. The blade is Extremely long and wide, 37 ½ inches long and more than 2 inches wide at its top, of very good quality steel, stamped with two crescent stamps probably of a German origin trade blade. The blade is entierly etched with inscription style decoration. The Cross guard is brass and th grip is wood bound with leather strips (partially damaged). No scabbard. Total length 43 inches. Blade in excellent condition. One langet (down pointing protrusion of the cross guard) is missing.
