This very rare combination weapon is Indian, late 18C. or earlier. It includes a flintlock pistol mounted on the haft of a steel axe with a concealed blade in the haft. The barrel is 5 ½ inches long. The axe blade of very good steel (May be wootz??) is 6 inches long mounted on a finely pierced brass back. The concealed steel blade is 5 ½ inches long. The steel haft is very richly decorated with thick silver inlay decoration. Total length 20 ½ inches. Very good condition. All parts in working order. Minimal losses to the silver inlay decoration. Very rare and interesting item.
