We offer for sale this fine Arab Jambiya dagger from Oman, in the royal style known as Saidi . It has a well forged, 7 ½ inches long, curved and dual edge blade with a central rib. The hilt is silver in the classical “I” shaped, decorated with many small silver filigree pieces. The scabbard is “L” shaped covered with leather and fabric. The belt attachment is made of complicate arrangements of 7 silver rings and twisted silver wire. All scabbard and hilt fittings are silver chased in a typical design. This dagger comes with its original fabric belt heavily decorated with embroidered silver wires and silver strips and set with four silver Arab coins. Very good condition. Lightly damages scabbard seam. Complete and impressive item.
