This dagger – short sword is coming from Sumatra. The general shape is of the Klewang sword but the dimensions are smaller: 15 inches single edge blade, well made, probably forged from an old file. Total length 21 plus inches in scabbard. Horn handle with forked pommel covered with silver. This style of hilt is known as Sukul Ngangan and common within the batak tribes of Sumatra. Wood scabbard bound in silver bands. Excellent condition allover.
